So you have been eating right, drinking lots of water and working out but your pants are still tight and the weighing scale is the same , you are wondering what the heck is going on..
(1) You feel like a walk in the park is enough
Here is the thing, burning fat needs a lot more than just walking your dog or a stroll in the park. They say sweat means fat is crying from the burn. So if you do not do an activity that brings your heart rate up to burn the fat ,like running , cycling ,etc then hate -to-break-it-to- ‘yah’ but you will most likely see no change
(2) You stick to the same routine for long
When you do the same workout routine for a long period of time, you will experience what we call a Plateau , which means your body is like
Your body should never feel like you are predictable for a long time, it will reach a dead end and not want to burn any more fat, so what you have to do it switch up your workouts to something different over a period of time (My 6 week fat loss program is a great way to start, order yours now)
(3) You do not sleep enough
well some people would rather stay up all night binge watching their favorite TV show
**Xoxo Why have I discoverd Greys anatomy ? Like, where have you been all my life?*
Others are just workaholics who exchange sleep for work , others are pretty much just party freaks who live life on the fast lane and some people are just insomnic. Wherever you fall, i dont know , but if losing weight and a long life is your ultimate goal, you will have to start getting a minimum of 7 hours sleep every night. You make the choice.
(4) You underestimate the power of the sugar in fruits
Okay fine, you have dropped processed sugar and have decided to go all natural , and you pick Fruits instead. so, you decide to blend your fruits every day besides , it’s healthy. Right?
Here is the thing, if you are not careful with blended smoothies , you might be adding so much sugar into your system unknowingly.. if you want to lose weight, do not take all – fruits blended juice ‘aaaaal day eeeeeeeer day’ , instead, make your smoothies with 80% vegetables and 20% fruits…
“Eat your fruits dont blend them Nai….ah-ah ” insert Nigerian accent.
Ps :if you want a fruit later on in the day, eat more of citrus fruits and less off sweet sugary fruits
(5) You are not patient enough
Patience is the key my dear.. after getting my workout guide , the first thing someone told me was
‘If I don’t see any difference in the next two weeks, I will quit!!!! . too much for optimism dont you think?
The truth is , it will take 4 weeks for you to start seeing change and 8 weeks for your friends to start seeing any difference. So this is not for the faint hearted. There is no plan B, there is just plan A and that is to wait patiently and work hard and most importantly not give up .
But remember, whatever your weight size is at the moment all you can do is love it, because we are all very beautiful…
Dont stay on your comfort zone though, if it is unhealthy, change it
